CLASSES

Please contact me if you would like to learn more about hosting a class on one of the topics below. If you are interested in participating in a class, and you do not see an upcoming class listed on this website, please contact me to find out details about current offerings near you.  As a course instructor for the following curricula, I offer classes through various public and private organizations in the Bay Area.

Do you struggle with being a parent, partner, family member or friend?

Have you struggled with the decision to become a parent, faced infertility or pregnancy loss, or encountered intense emotions during pregnancy or after the birth of a child?

Is your heart heavy with sadness or fear?

Are you worried whether you are enough?

Are you lacking purpose, drive or direction?

Do you feel exhausted, alone, worried?

Are you having a hard time connecting with the life you want?

Does it seem like nobody gets it?

Do you wish you felt closer to your loved ones and enjoyed your relationships?

There are times in your life when the path beneath your feet seems too unsteady to move forward. You may want help to deal with significant setbacks in life. I can help you.

Sometimes, we get stuck in a "problem loop". Understanding how thoughts, feelings and actions interact, you can change negative beliefs that are stressing you out and make lasting changes that improve your life. While I don't ignore the past, much of our conversation focuses on the present and the future. This reflects a basic belief that problems are best solved by focusing on how you would like your life to be, and moving toward that, rather than focusing too much on what might have been had you been able to rewrite the past. Read more here about the effectiveness of this approach and check out the graphic below for an example.

For Parents

Our Home Runs

Families Stepping Up to the Plate. The Our Home Runs program focuses on family bonding and is built around a baseball theme in which parents are compared with coaches and the kids are compared to players. The Home Runs program applies to family relationships to strengthen the ways that families communicate, respect, work and play together, support and build family resilience, and express affection and affirmation. The Our Home Runs program is suitable for two-parent, single-parent, and co-parent families. Entire families should attend with children ages 4-5 years old and older (this is up to the discretion of parents). The course has many activities for the entire family to do together. In addition, there are activities just for kids and some just for parents.

Our Home Run Five Session Class (approximately 2 hours per class = 10 hours total). Nonrefundable payment must be made in full at time of registration. Must be 18 to register.

Note: I am also trained and experienced as an instructor for 123 Magic and Parenting with Love and Logic, and can offer those classes on demand. Contact me for details.

For Teens

P.I.C.K a Partner for Teens

Who would agree that it’s better for a teens to drive without any driver’s training, perhaps even to crash a few times before they get their license? A safer approach to driving would certainly be to give the teen solid instructions (and clearly, to provide a good example) before they head out on the road so you could help them avoid danger, pain, scars or even death. Should we not be equally as intent upon preparing the next generation of husbands and wives to make the best, most informed decisions they can make about building lifelong relationships – or even close friendships?

Similar to the adult version of this class, but customized for a younger audience, your teen will learn to:

  • Ask the right questions to inspire meaningful conversation.

  • Analyze your partner's level of conscientiousness.

  • Judge character based on compatibility, relationships skills, friends, and patterns from family and previous relationships.

  • Resolve your own emotional baggage.

  • Open your eyes to problems in the relationship.

  • Identify and break destructive dating patterns.

P.I.C.K a Partner for Teens' Half-Day Class (5 hours total) + Facilitated Meet Up: Nonrefundable payment must be made in full at time of registration. Must be 18 to register (but class is for teens only, ages 13-19).
